Howard "Sonny" Hill, Jr.

Howard Paul Hill Jr. passed away October 16, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Festus, He was born April 22, 1967, to Barbara and Howard Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Tamara Hill Hovis; grandparents, Alonzo and Hazel Swearingen, and James O. and Maudie Pinkley.

Sonny is survived by his children, Kerstain, and Andrew; brothers, Bryan Hill and Timothy Hill; sister, Terri Carr and husband Douglas. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Sonny is also survived by a fiancé, Tina Hill and her children, Becky and Francis.

Sonny had many good friends, his best friend was James Lewis; James and his wife Lisa have been family friends for more than 20 years, He has been an amazing friend to Sonny’s entire family.

Sonny looked up to his Uncle Roger and wife Debra. Roger is a retired Navy Officer. Sonny said, “Roger Pinkley is the son of James O. Pinkley and Maudie, and he is the finest man I've ever known.”

A special thanks to Shawn, Sonny's friend for more than 20 years; his friendship and assistance are appreciated.

Sonny would help anyone, day or night; he was always there to help others. 

He loved to travel, fish, and he loved his pets. Most of all he loved working on cars, that was how he spent most of his time.

Sonny was loved dearly and will be truly missed all of his family and friends.  Per Sonny's wishes, there will not be any services at this time.

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
