Homer Cooper, 90 of Desloge, passed away April 23, 2014 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born April 8, 1924, in Mine La Motte, to the late Homer O. and Roxie M. (Umfleet) Cooper. Homer served his country in the United States Army.Homer is preceded in death by his parents; wife Mildred Christine (Tinnin) Cooper; and brother, Bobby Cooper. Homer is survived by his son, Gene Cooper and wife Jacque of Desloge; granddaughters, Gena Harrison, and Amy Cooper, great-grandchildren, Katie, Blake, and Grant.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the Chapel, Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bradford Laubinger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to the Family Ministry Center at First Baptist Church in Desloge.
