Hildon Winebarger

C. Hildon Winebarger, age 90, of Ste. Genevieve County, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. Hildon was born on November 24, 1930, in Avon, Missouri to the late Claude T. and Lottie Bell (Merritt) Winebarger. In addition to his parents, Hildon was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Joyce (Leonard) Winebarger who he was united in Marriage on May 6, 1951, and they were married for nearly 65 years. He was also proceeded in death by a sister, Erma Jean Mabery (Stan Mabery).

Hildon is survived by four daughters, Claudia Winebarger (James Wooldridge), Diane Reed (Patrick), Linda Douglas, and Mary Larsen (Scott); five grandchildren, Erin Weiss, Sara Lorenz (Bryan), Jordan Reed, Joshua Douglas (Jessica), Jake Douglas (Kristine); seven great-grandchildren; Samuel, Eleanor, and Henry Lorenz and Taylor and Talon Douglas, Morgan Gilsdorf, Carter Jayne Reed; sister, Kay Snyder (Rev. Don Snyder); dear friends, Wilma and Raymond Biri. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Ron Beaton officiating. Interment will follow at Mayberry Cemetery in Avon. Memorials may be made to Mayberry Cemetery Fund. Masks or face coverings are required before entering the building.
