Herman Marler of Park Hills, passed away March 25, 2014 at Missouri Baptist surrounded by his family. He was born November 27, 1940, in Farmington to the late Jesse and Hazel (Knox) Marler. Herman worked 28 years at Biltwell Clothing Factory, until they closed in 1998. He later went to work for Nash Reality, where he was a realtor for over 10 years. He is a member of Irondale Assembley of God and Pendleton Masonic Lodge in Doe Run.He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, James Albert Marler, Floyd Marler, Hoil Marler, and Jess Marler Jr.; sisters, Margie Peery, LuElla Courtois, Gladys Marler, Shirley Marler, Froy Marler, Magdeline Marler, Allene Marler, and Beulah Marler.Herman is survived by his wife, Kay; children, Paula (Mrs. Jason) Waggener of St. Louis, Kevin Marler and wife Dana of Kansas City, Mary (Mrs. Scott) Coleman of Springfeld, and Douglas Currington of Park Hills; 6 special grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Lane, Cole, Madelynn, Drew, and Hunter; twin brother, Sherman Marler and wife Barbara of Park Hills; and one sister, Evelyn Wampler of Phoenix.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, March 28, 2014 at 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the Chapel, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Rick Hensley and Rev. J.C. Moore. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
