Mr. Henry Y. Cashion, of Farmington, passed away August 16th at the age of 75. Henry was born in St. Francois County on Aug. 20, 1938. He was the only son of Henry Yount Cashion and Elsie Marie (Ehret) Cashion. One son, Trace E. Cashion, preceded him in death. His sister, Bonnie Fay (Ferrell) Croy, is living in Springfield, Missouri.

The family survivors are: his loving wife, Sandra L. (White) Cashion. His loving children: Perry A. (Diana Anderson), of Lee's Summit, MO; Charles H. (Brenda) Cashion, of Fairview, TN; Mark A. (Maria) Cashion, of Arlington, TX; Thomas E. (Debby) Ramsey, of Festus, MO; Robert D. (Kelly) Ramsey of Ballwin, MO; James H. (Victoria) Ramsey, of Springfield, MO; Leann L. (Randy) Clark, of Poplar Bluff, MO; and Tina Cashion (wife of Trace), of Farmington. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.

Henry grew up on the family farm in Libertyville, MO. He was active in the 4-H Club & other farming activities. He served his beloved country for 14 years in the Missouri National Guard and the US Army Reserves. After high school, he left home to pursue an education in the Health Care profession. After receiving his degree and registry in Radiology Technology and Medical Lab Technology, he returned to Farmington. He worked at The Farmington State Hospital and the Medical Arts Clinic. He helped run the family farm until his father's death. After advancing his education in Kirksville, MO., he returned to Farmington, as the 'Director of Radiology' at Farmington Community Hospital. In 1982, he founded the Mineral Area Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. This was the first hospital-based school affiliated with a college to offer a degree program in radiology. He retired in 2004 for health reasons.

Henry was active in the American Society of Radiology Technology and the Missouri Radiology Society. He received many awards and a 'Life Membership' for his professsional work. He was active in the community as well. He served as the 1st Chairman of the elected board for the St. Francois County Ambulance District. He was a long time member of the Farmington ELKS Lodge and attended the Three Crosses Cowboy Church. He also did volunteer work at the Mineral Area Medical Center after his retirement.

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Pastor Michael McGee officiating

LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will lead the funeral procession to New Calvary Cemetery, Farmington, for Interment with Military Honors.
