Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at approximately 6:30 am, Helen Lucille (Carson) Hoskins passed on in her sleep to join those who she loved that went before her. She was a legendary part of our family, loving us all, a mirror into the past. Her stories, her laughter, her spark, and wisdom will be missed by all who knew her. She was born Jan. 10, 1901, in Springfield, MO. She saw the invention of the light bulb; television; telephone; automobile; airplane; and danced with the likes of Lawrence Welk. She made her own business in Nashville, TN, & came to know music greats such as Marty Robbins, Roy Acuff & Minnie Pearl who recorded in the studio next to her store. Music was the love of her life as she danced & played her organ to the entertainment of many. She was a descendent of Civil War General Robert E. Lee; explorer Kit Carson; Revolutionary War Col. Robards. A woman full of history, who loved all her family. Good bye Aunt Helen. We will always love you, and miss your presence.
