Helen Labonna Govreau

Helen Labonna (Thomas) Govreau, of Farmington, passed away July 13, 2021 at SouthBrook Nursing home. She was born November 11, 1930 in Flat River, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elba (Hulsey) Thomas; loving husband Luther (Luke) Govreau; son, Todd Govreau; siblings, Darryl, Paul, Gary, Beulah, and Eula. Helen enjoyed her crafts, being a collector of many things, she was very stylish and trendy with her fashion. She loved walking, and as ambitious as she was Helen truly enjoyed socializing, and being the funny person with friends, even with strangers she would meet. But her upmost importance was her family, she was a fantastic mother to her two sons, being a loving mother and taking good care of them. To her husband she was a faithful and loving wife.

  Helen is survived by her son, Joe (Tammy) Govreau; six grandchildren; Chad, Parker, Zachary, Rebecca, Breanna, and Kimberly, as well as several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marlyn Mauk and Madonna Ransom.

A private graveside service will be Monday, July 19, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, in Ste. Genevieve County. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. View obituary and share condolences online at www.www.czboyer.com
