Mrs. Helen Louise 'Crouch' West, of Farmington, passed away Monday evening, April 24, 2006, at her Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence, at the age of 83 years & 8 months. Helen was born August 24, 1922, in Kansas City, KS. She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Rev. Clyde E. West (April 2, 2006); 1 Son, Courtney Eugene West & 1 Sister, Joanne Jeanette Crouch, both in-infancy.
Helen was: * a member of The Presbyterian Church, USA; * a very active & published writer, her most-popular book "Adopted Four & Had One More" published by Bethany Press, St. Louis (1969); * earned a BA Degree from Pittsburg, KS, State U; * earned a MA Degree from St.Louis Univ.; * did addt'l graduate work @ NW Univ. & Iowa State Univ; * member, Alpha Psi Omega (Delta Theta Cast) since 1942; * worked w/many workshops; seminars & creative writing classes while she served w/her husband, Rev. Clyde E. West at: 1st Presbyterian Church, Bemet, IL; Westfield Presbyterian Church, Ft. Wayne, IN; Nelson Presbyterian Church & St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, both of St. Louis.

Funeral: Thursday, 12 Noon @ Hoffmeister Chapel.
Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
