Helen Elizabeth Owen

Helen Owen, age 89, of Jackson, Ohio passed away September 18, 2012. She was born onNovember 14, 1922 in Flat River, Missouri. She was the daughter of the lateJames and Biddie Barker. She was preceded in death by her husband Berwyn Lee Owen.She is survived by three sons, Robert Owen of Farmington, Missouri, John (CynthiaHawkins) Owen of Rochester, New York and Stephen(Laura) Owen of Jackson, Ohio. She has 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She graduated high School at 16 and went on to college. She did her part in the war effort by heading up a New York company involved in procurement of supplies for the military. She was an avid reader and donated time at Kinnison Grade School as a reader. She was a resident of Four Winds Nursing Home for the past year where she received outstanding and loving care.Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6:00 ?? 8:00 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills. Interment will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Park Hills.
