Helen Douglas

Helen Douglas, 91, of Desloge passed away Friday August 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. She was born Wednesday, May 26, 1926 in Ste. Genevieve County to the late Roy and Florence (Murray) Byington. Helen was a LPN and worked in the OB Department at the Bonne Terre Hosptial.  

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Douglas; daughter-in-law, Nancy (Warren) Douglas; great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Nancy Douglas; brothers, Perry and Homer Byington; sister, Annabelle Wilfong.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ola Douglas; son, Ken Douglas (Teri); grandchildren, Kyle Douglas (Erin), Jason Douglas (Kara), and Allison Kennon (Al); great-grandchildren, Rosalyn, Lorayne, Sylvia, Sydney, Alexander, and Tylor; daughter-in-law, Laura Douglas.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at St. François Memorial Park. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
