Mrs. Helen B. Jackson passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at her Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence at the age of 97 years, 1 month & 25 days. Helen was born July 1, 1919, in Kansas City, KS, and was the daughter of Oren William Breidenthal, Sr., and Eva 'Brazelton' Breidenthal. Also preceding in death were : her husband of 53 years, Crayton Silas "Cy" Jackson (Feb. 25, 1996) a sister, Mary Compton, 3 brothers - O.W. "Bill" Breidenthal, Jr., Dr. Ward Breidenthal & David Breidenthal. Also, a son-in-law, Clyde Dinkins, and a grandson, Rick Jackson (1972).

Helen moved to Annapolis, MO., in 1941, to teach English at the High School. She met and married her husband, Cy and began a life entrenched in her community. She and her husband were Charter Members of Vulcan Assembly of God Church and she was the last surviving Charter Member. She served as Church Secretary/Treasurer for 45 years and also served as Church Organist for most of those years. Her love for reading led to her position on the Ozark Regional Library Board, where she served for 25 years.

In addition to teaching and church involvement, Helen worked alongside her husband as owner of Jackson's Store for many years.

Some people have the gift of living every moment of life to its fullest, and Helen was one of those who made every endeavor an adventure. She was an avid swimmer and spent many summer days on The Black River. Even at age 87, she enjoyed the waterslide and bowling with her great-grandsons and was at most school events and activities for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors Include: 2 daughters - Virginia Dinkins, of Pilot Knob; Elaine (the Rev. Eddie) Bone, of Park Hills. 3 sons - Bud (& Liz) Jackson, of Farmington. Jim (& Anita) Jackson, of Claremore, OK, and Dr. John P. (& Paula) Jackson, of Farmington. A brother,the Rev. Henry Matthew Breidenthal, M.D., of Chiangmai, Thailand. A sister-in-law, Marietta Breidenthal, of Burlington, NC. A brother-in-law, C. W. "Bill" Jackson, of Pilot Knob, MO. 9 grandchildren - Roseanne (Jerry) Spitzmiller, Beverly (Mark) Smith, Brenda (John) Matchell, Randy (Faith) Dinkins, David (Chris) Dinkins, Scott (Lisa) Dinkins, Vic (Donna) Jackson, Jane (Tim) Mulitsch & Tim Jackson. Also surviving are 21 great-grandchildren; 20 great, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends, as well as many loving caregivers & friends at her home, Farmington Presbyterian Manor.

Visitations: Sunday, 5-8 p.m. @ Taylor Funeral Service - Farmington

Monday, 5-8 p.m. @ Vulcan Assembly of God Church, with visitation resuming Tuesday morning @ 8:00 a.m.

Funeral : Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., August 30, 2016
