Hazel Blackwell

Hazel Blackwell, 79, of Irondale, passed away December 7, 2023, at her residence. She was born October 8, 1944, in Irondale, to the late Roy Warren Blackwell and Helen Marie (Marler) Tulley. Hazel was of Baptist faith and enjoyed crafting, quilting and collecting old kewpie dolls. She was employed for over 30 years as a seamstress at Melbourne Manufacturing Company making purses.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Donna Tyler and three siblings in infancy.

Hazel is survived by siblings, Frieda Manar and Ronnie Blackwell; nieces, Sandra DeSherlia, Tonya (Jeffrey) Warren, LaDonna Tyler, Sharon (Robert) Hughes and Diane Banks.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 9:00 am until the service time at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Big River Cemetery in Irondale.
