Harold Nelson

Harold Raymond Nelson, 76, of Park Hills passed away April 6, 2012 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born February 6, 1936 in St. Louis. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed traveling to south Texas during the winter and camping with his campers club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gladys Nelson and Bernice and Glennwood Dunn; wife, Mildred "Millie" (Mallow) Nelson; three sisters, Janet Klemp, Carla Robinson, Barbie Nelson; two brothers, Gary Dunn and Robert Nelson in infancy. Harold is survived by six children, Donita (Oliver) Dalton Kaiser of Bonne Terre, James (Brenda) Dalton of Park Hills, Rev. Duane (Sherry) Nelson of Troy MI, Daniel (Angela) Nelson of Farmington, Darin (Kelly) Nelson of Lynchburg, VA, Dianna (Avery) Nelson Stricklin of Farmington; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Jerry Nelson; sister, Beverly Chrisman; loving companion, Johna Lewis. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Service will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge. Burial will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
