Harold Louis Myers, 84, of Farmington died on Thursday, November 21, at his home. He was born in Moberly, Mo on October 8, 1929 to John Louis and Lillian Myers. Harold graduated from Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg earning a BS in Religion and from Midwestern Baptist Seminary earning a Masters of Divinity degree. He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel by Oakland Baptist Church in Clarksburg, Mo. After graduating from seminary, Harold pastored at several churches including Centerville Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Viburnum, and First Baptist Church Delassus. He also served at the Baptist Home in Ironton for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. His life of service enabled him to influence many lives as a pastor and a friend. Harold was married to Bess Tiefenauer on July 10, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margaret (Mrs. Jay) Gairrett of Moberly and granddaughter Morgan Myers of Farmington. He is survived by his wife; his sister, Virginia (Mrs. John) Boland of Moberly; daughter Cindy Myers of Farmington; son Tim and Leslie Gamble Myers of Ballwin; son John and Krista Preiss Myers of Farmington; and grandchildren Stephen, Daniel, Ally, Riley, and Toby in addition to many friends and family.Visitation will be held at The First Baptist Church in Farmington, Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will also be held at the church Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Dr. William Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials may be given in Harolds memory to First Baptist Church in Farmington.
