Harold "Bigboy" Skaggs

            Harold “Bigboy” Skaggs, 83, of Park Hills, passed away January 2, 2017 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus. He was born April 5, 1933, in Desloge, to the late William Frank and Altha (White) Skaggs. Bigboy was a member of the Gumbo First Church of God.

             He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Wilma Allen, Marie Pryor, and Beulah Coffman; two brothers, Paul and Glenwood Skaggs.

             Bigboy is survived by his wife, Lois L. (Cruse) Metcalf Skaggs; children, David (Carol) Skaggs, Rick Skaggs, James (Lisa) Metcalf, Tony Metcalf, Bill (Jessica) Skaggs, Barbara (Don) Sutton, Sandra White, Teresa (Jim) Falconer, Tonya Metcalf Bounds, Judy (Ron) Cooper, Altha (Brad) Burgess, Loretta (Randy) Barnhouse, and Vickie Skaggs; 50+ grand, great, and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Carrol “T” Skaggs, and June (Don) Pitman; special caregiver / extra daughter, Trish Gilliam. 

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 4:00 PM until service time at 7:00 PM. Reverend Cleo Counts will be officiating. Memorials may be directed to Gumbo First Church of God, 307 Poe St. Park Hills, MO 63601.
