Gloria Essman

            Gloria Essman, 62, of Dexter, passed away July 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 28, 1955 in St. Louis, to the late Willard Utnage and Ida Delores (Mattingly) Lawson. Gloria loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, playing Bingo and the outdoors. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Delores; husband, William James Essman, Jr.; three sisters, Faye Alexander, Barbara LaPlant, and Susan Gowen. 

            Gloria is survived by her children, Matthew (Ann Marie) Glore, Earl (Jillian) Glore, Bobbie Jo (Jeff) Barnes, Billie Jo (Justin) Crane; grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Nicole, Michael, Belinda, Hailey, Samantha, Shadow, Cody, and Chelsey; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Sheila Lawson, Nancy Meyers, April Harrison, Garth Lawson, and Reagan Baker; the father of her children, Marvin Glore. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Friday, July 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ed Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
