Glenwood McNabb, 81 of Park Hills, passed away June 30, 2014 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Facility in Farmington. He was born November 12, 1932, in Elvins. Glenwood served his country in The United States Navy, and during his military service, he served on the USS Piedmont during the Korean War. Glenwood was a dear father of Kathryn (Edward) Reith, proud grandpa of Jonathan (Jayme) Dinter and Andrew Reith; brother of Margaret Barrett. Also survived by Shirley McNabb, Hattie Johnson, extended family and friends and his faithful companion Zoey. Mr. McNabb was a teacher at Berkeley Senior High School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District, an assistant principal at North Technical High School in the Special School District of St. Louis County and principal at Arcadia Valley High School. Although retired, he never stopped teaching. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Parkland Health Center and to the staff at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Facility. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the chapel, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
