Glennon Govero

            Glen Govero, 55, of Valles Mines, passed away May 4, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his friends and family.  He was born November 4, 1960, in St. Louis, to James Jerome and Patricia Ruth (Patterson) Govero.  Glen attended the Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church of Bonne Terre and was a member of the National Horseshoe Association. 

             He was preceded in death by his father, James Govero; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Artie Patterson as well as Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Govero; and a brother in-law, Jim Allen.

             Glen is survived by his loving wife, Veena (Brooks) Govero; two sons, James Ballard of Valles Mines, and Christopher (Govero) Stitz of Atlanta GA; three daughters, Nichole (Michael) White, of Wentzville, Carley (Larry) Flowers of Springfield GA, and Jamey Ballard of Valles Mines; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Ken (Janice) Govero, Ron (Sharon) Govero, Raymond (Sonya) Govero; two sisters, Theresa Allen, and Barbara (Larry) Morrison.

             A graveside service will be held at Shepard Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Brother Larry Allison officiating.  The service will be under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.  Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
