Glenn Pipkin, 101 of Farmington, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. He was born March 24, 1912 in Flat River. Glenn was a member of the Flat River Church of Christ and he and his wife Ruth, of 75 years, owned and operated Pirtle Feed and Hardware until 1975.He was preceded in death by wife, Ruth (Pirtle) Pipkin; parents, John and Clara (Lawson) Pipkin; brother, Reed Pipkin; and sisters, Reva Gerstenschlager and Neva Tessereau.Glenn is survived by children, Selwyn Pipkin and wife Phyllis of Arkansas, Larry Pipkin and wife Sharon of Farmington, and Janice Sutterfield and husband J.S. of Florida; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Evangelist John Flickinger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
