Mr. Glen Day passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at Community Manor Nursing Home, Farmington, at the age of 82 years, 4 months & 4 days. Glen was born Feb. 12, 1935, in Pascola, MO., & was the son of Brown Ellis Day and Reba 'Miller' Day. Also preceding were: his wife, Patricia Jean 'Amundsen' Day (June 30, 2016), sister, Nora Harris and brother, Brown Day.
Glen was a US Navy Veteran (retired) & member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington. He retired from Potosi Corrections as a PowerPlant Operator. Glen will be remembered for his gift of gab. He loved to tell his Navy experiences & stories about the kids & grandkids to anyone that would listen. He was a generous man, always willing to help-out in anyway he could. Glen will be greatly missed.
Survivors Include : 5 children - Wendy (& Brad) Brown, of Bismarck, MO; Will (& Kelly) Randle, of Ashland, MO; Jack (& Dana) Miller, of Lake Villa, IL; Karen (& Rich) Reynolds, of Beach Park, IL; Glen (& Kay) Day, of Keokuk, Iowa. 13 grandchildren: Shelley, Jason, Chris, Matt, Jack, Les, April, Jennifer, Kelsey, Jamison, Emma, Trisha & Lance. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren & 2 nieces.
There will be No Visitation.
LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will accompany the funeral procession to Bismarck Masonic Cemetery
For Burial with Full Military Honors
Graveside Service : Friday, 11:00 a.m., July 7, 2017, with Pastor Ben Durbin officiating.
