Gladys Carver

         Gladys Lee (Bloom) Carver, age 81, of Bonne Terre, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at St. Joe Manor with her daughter Lisa and hospice nurse Lauren by her side.  Gladys was born on November 23, 1939, in Farmington to Elmer Eli and Inez Elizabeth (Sumpter) Bloom.  Gladys enjoyed crocheting, working puzzle books, singing and playing the piano, which she was self-taught.  She also loved her family dearly.

          She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Bloom; husband, Calvin Carver, Jr. and a brother, Robert “Bob” Bloom.

          Gladys is survived by her daughter; Lisa (Tom) Manning; son, William “Billy” Schoelhamer; mother, Inez Bloom; five grandchildren, Drew, Zach, Katie, Joey and Tyler; siblings, Betty Light, James “Jim” (Brenda) Bloom and Lindell “Pete” Bloom (Eva Campbell); sister-in-law, Georgiana Bloom; close friend, Alice Sago; a nephew; several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, April 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM with Pastor Dean Berry officiating.    Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery in Farmington.
