Gertie StoffelGertie Stoffel age 72 of Bonne Terre passed away December 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1940 in Bonne Terre to the late George H. and Candacy (Sweet) Weir. Also preceding her in death was her husband Harold Stoffel; granddaughter, Terra Akins; sisters, Anabelle Watson, Fredia Weir, and Mickie Weir. Gertie loved working in her yard and enjoyed being on the telephone and talking to family and friends. Gertie is survived by seven children, Elvin Stoffel, William (Tammy) Watts, Julie Kutney, Richard (Diane) Stoffel, Randall (Debbie) Akins, Donald (Michelle) Akins, Peggy (Joseph) DeClue; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Samuel Weir; five sisters, Dorothy (Jerry) Bush, Pansy Fowler, Theresa (Roger) Barton, Maudie Barlow, Ione (Gary) Hornerkamp. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday at Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Pastor Rick Lasley officiating. Interment will follow at the Germania Cemetery.
