Command Sergeant Major Gerald Ray Willis (Ret.), 75, of Farmington passed away July 20, 2022 at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. He was born October 20, 1946 in Crystal City to the late Lloyd H. and Dorothy M. (Koester) Willis. Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army for 27 years, attaining the rank of Command Sergeant Major. During his military career, Gerald served in the Vietnam War and Persian Gulf War. He was stationed many places while serving, some of which included Fort Irwin, CA, Fort Bliss, TX, Southwest Asia, Mogadishu, Somalia, Mannheim, Schweinfurt and Kitzingen, Germany.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Judy (Ramsey) Willis.

Gerald is survived by two sisters, Naomi Kean and husband Larry, Sharon Eaton and husband Harold; two brothers, Phillip Willis and Paul Willis; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Kean, Cindy Jester, Jon Kean, Greg Kean, Cory Eaton, Nathan Eaton, Adam Willis, Angie Pelger, Matt Willis; special great-nieces and nephews, Maddox, Olivia and Brayden Kean; special third cousins, Laura Willis, Geraldine Allen; sisters-in-law, Vicki Elko and Dot Rodawald; dear family friend, Joanie Ferrer.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Dave Wiant officiating. Full military honors will follow. Memorials may be made to Camp Hope.
