Tom WeirGeorge Thomas Weir 76, of Bonne Terre passed away February 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1935 in Bonne Terre. Tom enjoyed farming, attending auctions and loved antique trucks. He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Candacy (Sweet) Weir; wife, Barbara Weir; sisters, Freeda Betty Weir, Reva Weir and Anna Belle Watson.Tom is survived by his wife, Clara (Worthy) Bannister-Weir; children, Raymond Weir and wife Beth, Mary (Mrs. Danny) Jaster; step-children, Elzy (Jan) Bannister, Pat (Jerry) Ball, Melba (Rich) Johnston, Dale (Sandy) Bannister, Gay (Bill) Black, Eddie (Terri) Bannister; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Weir; sisters, Gertrude Stoffel, Theresa (Roger) Barton, Pansy Fowler, Maudie Barlow, Dorothy (Jerry) Bush, Ione Hornerkamp.Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Ryan Retzer officiating. Burial will follow at Germania Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
