George Simmons

          George Simmons, 58, of Desloge, passed away November 26, 2020 at his residence in Desloge. He was born August 11, 1962, in Bonne Terre, to the late Richard Leon Simmons and Janet (Hoff) Skaggs. George enjoyed fishing and hunting anything to do with the outdoors.

          George was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother John Simmons.

          George is survived by his fiancé, Earlene Henson; son, Jared Simmons; step-daughter, Cassandra Baxter (David); grandchildren, Penelope and Hensley Baxter, who loved to call him pops. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Price (Tim), and Deborah Carr; nieces, Kristy Price, Rhonda Currington, Elizabeth Graham, Sarah Courtway, Diana Brush and Suzie Simmons; nephews, Brian Martin and John Simmons; several friends also survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Thursday December 3, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at11:00 AM. Pastor JC Moore will be officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CZ Boyer towards funeral expenses.
