George Hedgcorth, 88, of Leadwood, passed away May 10, 2015 at Southbrook Nursing Center in Farmington. He was born May 21, 1926 in Leadwood, to the late George Mont, Sr. and Gladys Marie (Welker) Hedgcorth, and he later served his country in the United States Army. George married the love of his life, Naomi Ruth Brewer, August 20, 1943, and was married for 71 years. He is also a member of the First Church of God in Leadwood. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lillian Williams and Pauline Rice. George is survived by his wife, Naomi Ruth Hedgcorth; two sons, Ed Hedgcorth and wife Sheila of Potosi, Dennis Hedgcorth and wife Tamera of Irondale; one daughter, Jayne (Mrs. Woodrow) Patterson of Desloge; seven grandchildren, Jeffery, Joshua, Jeremy and Jacob Hedgcorth, Corey Sago, Christina Basler, and Lacey Sullivan; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Hedgcorth and wife Marlene of Desloge; special sister-in-law, Norma Brewer; special niece, Carman McClanahan; and special nephew, Butch Brewer. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kendal Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery with full military honors.
