Mr. George Edwin Conrad passed away early Monday morning, July 30, 2007, at the Georgian Gardens in Potosi, MO., at the age of 83 years, 5 months & 15 days. George was born in Madison County, Missouri, on February 15, 1924, to the late Edwin Terry Conrad and Barbara Elizabeth Magill Conrad.
On September 23, 1945, he was united in marriage to Melba Margaret McDaniel, who survives him. Also surviving are two daughters: Patricia (Jesse) Griffin, of Bonne Terre and Nancy Conrad, of Creve Coeur, MO; Two grandchildren: Jesse Dale (Melinda) Griffin, Deanna (Mark) Phillips. One great-grandson, Griffin Mark Phillips, all of Bonne Terre. One sister, Barbara Crow Griffin, of Farmington, and a host of Nieces & Nephews. He is also survived by special friends, Tom Taylor, A.J. Miller, and Bill and Mildred Steffan.
He was a devoted life-long farmer of the Libertyville Community and he was a grain and livestock trucker for many years. He was a member of the Libertyville Methodist Church.
Visitation: Tuesday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Wednesday at 7:00 a.m.
Funeral : Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., August 1, 2007,
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Eddie Bone officiating, assisted by Rev. Wayne Phillips.
Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
