Gearld Kim

Gearld A. Kim, 76, of Bonne Terre passed away December 12, 2017. He was born September 7, 1941 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He was a member of the East Bonne Terre Baptist Church and Samaritan Masonic Lodge #424. Gearld enjoyed going camping, riding motorcycles and loved old cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Mary (Schmidt) Buchanan; son, Douglas Kim; four brothers, Ed Kim, Ben Kim, Joe Kim, Johnnie Kim; four sisters, Katheryn Mathes, Mary Margaret Kim, Freida Snider, Carol Lee Buchanan.

Gearld is survived by his wife, LaVera Kim; son, Mike Kim and wife Brandi; five grandchildren, Stephanie Kim, Stacie Harris, Chealsea Kim, Tyler Nelson, Katie Nelson; one great-granddaughter, Skyllar Harris; sister, Helen Knight; brother, Everet Buchanan; brother-in-law, Frank Windisch. A host of nieces and nephews are left to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:45 PM. Burial will be private at Bonne Terre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Samaritan Masonic Lodge or the American Heart Association.
