Gaylord Ayer Bury

Gaylord “Grandpa” Ayer Bury, 75, of French Village, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born Friday, July 24, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to the late Chester Bury and Betty (Hayden) Smith. “Grandpa” is right where he wants to be; wind in his face and sun on his back.

In addition to his parents, “Grandpa” is preceded in death by his brother Mitch Smith and sister April Smith.

“Grandpa” is survived by his wife Dawn (Barrows) Bury; children, Bretia Hermann, Ray Vasquez, Carlos Vasquez, and Victor Vasquez and his wife Cameron; mother-in-law, Eileen Drey; brothers, Greg Smith and his wife Nikki and Scott Smith; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many biker friends that call Gaylord “Grandpa”. Also surviving are his rescue dogs Annie and Bell.

There will be no services at this time. Memorials can be directed to the family of Gaylord Bury in care of the funeral home.
