Gary Thurman

Gary Thurman age 67 of Bonne Terre departed this life on August 11, 2012 and went to be with God. He was born December 24, 1944 to Russell "Buddy" and Florence Thurman.He was preceded in death by his father Buddy Thurman and a granddaughter Sydney Lewis. Gary was a valued employee and retiree with the Doe Run Company.He was with Doe Run for over 30 years and took great pride in his work and the company. Gary is survived by his wife of 30 years, Del Thurman; mother, Florence Thurman; Children, Jill (Dan) Herbst, Julie Lewis, Jeff Thurman, Charlotte Partridge and Tom Feichtinger, Bud (Janie) Link, Mike Link, and Mary Beth Bender; brother, Larry (Melissa) Thurman; sister Linda Halton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Gary loved his family very much and will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Tuesday August 14, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Jonathon Jones officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
