Gary Van Peppers, 74, of Doe Run passed away September 10, 2024. He was born November 6, 1949 in Bonne Terre to the late Elmer Clarence and Kathleen (Stevens) Peppers. Gary was a member of the Providence Baptist Church of Bonne Terre, National Rifle Association, National Wild Turkey Federation and 67 Gun Club. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing and visiting flea markets in his spare time. 

In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Peggy Peppers.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Karen (Johnson) Peppers; two children, Kara Montgomery and husband Paul, Justin Peppers and wife Danielle; three grandchildren, Khloe Montgomery, Braxton Peppers and Briar Peppers; four siblings, Dale Peppers, Susie (Mike) Webb, Terry (Jewell) Peppers, Karen (Larry) Murray; dear friends, Don House, Danny Howlett, Walter Parrot, Tim Lynch, Kathleen Furlong and her late husband, Dan. Several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive. 

Visitation will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Saturday until the time of service at 10:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel with Bro. Dereck Buford officiating. Interment will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery in Doe Run. Memorial donations may be made to Doe Run Memorial Cemetery or Providence Baptist Church.
