Gary L. Stephens

Gary Lynn Stephens, 66 of Homosassa, FL, formerly of French Village passed away November 25, 2012 in Gainesville, FL. He was born October 15, 1946 in Bloomington, IL. Gary was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and was a retired Teamster for Local 600 in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Dorothy (Reichenbacher) Stephens and wife, Cheryl (Hermann) Stephens. Gary is survived by seven children, Susan Simmons of San Antonio, TX, James Comparato of Lansdale, PA, Jill (Mrs. Michael) Venegoni of St. Peters, MO, Brian Comparato and wife Nichole of Boise, ID, Charles Stephens and wife Mary of Festus, MO, Billy Johns and wife Claudia of Park Hills, MO and Holly Stephens of Park Hills, MO; eighteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Dennis Stephens and wife Bobbieand Bill Stephens and wife Judy all of Homosassa, FL; sister, Leslie (Mrs. Timothy) Stephan of Homosassa, FL; dear friend, Sharon Zimmerly of Hillsboro, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Nancy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
