          Gary Gerstenschlager, 82, of Bonne Terre, passed away August 22, 2021 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington.  He was born July 23, 1939, in Bonne Terre to the late Alvin Emmett and Reva Francis (Pipkin) Gerstenschlager.  Gary was a member of the Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church in Bonne Terre for over 40 years and often attended The Harvest Christian Center in Park Hills.  He retired as Chief Electrical Engineer of the Doe Run Company and he also served his country in the United States Navy.

          Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years Pamela (Robinson) Gerstenschlager; one daughter, Theresa “Terri” Ann and her husband Terry Pankhurst; two sons, Gary Lynn the Second and Dustin Gene; two grandsons, Rowdy of Springfield, Elijah and wife Reaghan of North Carolina; four granddaughters, Jessica Pankhurst and fiancé Paul Sanderford of Meridian Mississippi, Abigail and husband Zac Sourbough of Rose Hill Mississippi, Ariel and husband Matt Dickinson, Alaina and husband Dan Clevenger, both of Park Hills; six great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; siblings, Judy Weston, Sandy Robinson, Steve (Cathy) Gerstenschlager, Dave (Maryetta) Gerstenschlager; and the love of his life, Delilah his precious German Shepherd.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Friday, August 27, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  The visitation will resume, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre.  Brother Larry Allison will be officiating, assisted by Pastor Dwight Jones.  Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Backstoppers.
