Gale Rasnic

          Marion Gale Rasnic, age 79, of St. Louis, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Mercy Hospital South. He was born on June 16, 1941 in Frankclay. Gale retired from the City of St. Louis as City Assessor with over 30 years of service.  He was an avid golfer with four holes- in- one and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

            Gale is survived by his loving wife, Ronda (Douglas) Rasnic; children, Marilyn (Mike) Lee, Steve (Tammy) Rasnic,  Debbie (Mike) Killingsworth and Tami (Mike) Lanier; thirteen grandchildren, Sara Rasnic, Kristi (Scott) Ballmann, Jake Brewster, Abbi Lanier, Rebecca Rasnic, Nick (Erica) Lanier, Samantha Killingsworth, Tessa Killingsworth, Elizabeth ( T.J.) Rozgowski, Ryan Rasnic, Emily Killingsworth, Grace Killingsworth and Ben Lanier; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Sophia, Luke, Jett, Eli, Summer and Rocky; two sisters, Melba (Orville “Corky”) McGee and Annabell McCoy along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

           Gale was preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Delphia Zora (Speer) Rasnic; siblings, Ruth Penberthy, Arvin Rasnic, Carl Rasnic, Glendell Rasnic, James Rasnic, Edward Rasnic and Alma Cain.   

            Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Leadwood Cemetery in Leadwood with Rev. Kendall Hughes officiating.  Family and friends will meet on the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home parking lot in Desloge at 12:30 PM to go in procession to cemetery.  The family will be planning a memorial service at a later date.            

          C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home along with the family asks for masks or face coverings, to be worn at the cemetery.
