Mr. Frank Momot passed away July 15, 2003, at his Farmington residence, at the age of 81 years, 11 months & 10 days. Frank was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Leadwood, MO., to Nickalous and Katheryn 'Stewia' Momot. He was also preceded-in-death by 1 Son: Mark Gene Momot (April 5, 1993); 3 Sisters: Anna Medley, Helen Chapman & Kathryn Black; and 4 Brothers: Andrew Momot, Nick Momot, John Momot & Harry Momot. Frank: * faithfully attended Farmington 1st Baptist Church; * was a member of The Disabled American Veterans; * a member of the Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896, Farmington; * a member of the LePere-McCallister American Legion Post #416, Farmington; * the top fund raiser by an individual for the July 1999 - St. Francois County 'Relay for Life' & * was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he served as an Engineer with the 78th Division, where he was recognized for heroic service on March 12, 1945, in clearing minefields under fire to protect the flanks of infantry in advancing upon enemy troops near Honnef, Germany. Survivors include his WIFE: Ila Jean Momot, Farmington; 1 SON: Frank Dwayne (& Pat) Momot, Farmington; 1 GRANDSON: Ryan Momot, Farmington; 2 SISTERS: Rosa Alexander, Plantation, Florida & Mary Lockmiller, Stockton, California and 1 BROTHER: Mike (& Francis) Momot, Desloge, MO. Visitation: Thurs, 4-8 pm, w/joint VFW & American Legion Services to be conducted at 6:30 pm Visitation resumes Friday, 7-9 am @ TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL & visitation moving at 10 am, to 1st Baptist Church Farmington with funeral services @ 11 am, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Interment will full military honors at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials to: * St. Francois Co. Cancer Society 'Relay-for-Life' &/or * Farmington First Baptist Church.
