Frank Hulsey, 87, of Desloge, passed away peacefully January 7, 2021, at home surrounded by family. He was born May 25, 1933, in Elvins, to the late John Highley and Nettie (Pulliam) Hulsey. Frank was a member of the Desloge First Church of God. He retired from Hager Hinge after 31 years and then drove a school bus for North County School District, where he was known as one of the “favorites.” Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and waving at passing traffic, from his front porch chair.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 68 years, Virginia “Faye” Hulsey; son, Ricky Hulsey; grandchildren, Samuel Riley Hulsey and Christina Nicole Mabery; brothers, Jack, Harry and Clinton Hulsey; sisters, Violet Gilbert and Norma Gilbert; son in-law, Jeff Mabery.
Frank is survived by several children, Gerald “Hoghead” Hulsey and wife Debby, Debbie Hubbard and husband Randy, Donna Young and husband Dan, Bobby “Minner” Hulsey, Ronnie Hulsey, Paula Mabery, Kevin Hulsey and wife Cindy; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; one brother, Verlin Hulsey; sisters in-law, Mary Hulsey and Carolyn Riley; special niece, Sheila McCabe.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM. Reverend Chuck Lotz will be officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Park Hills. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
