Frances Govreau

Frances "Mimi" Govreau, 91 of Desloge, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February, 8, 1922 in Desloge to the late Mark and Elva (Boyer) Griffard. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Park Hills and Ladies Sodality.She is also preceded in death by husband, Vernon Govreau; eight brothers and sisters; two grandchildren, Laura Anne Grant and Mary Anne Grant.Frances is survived by children, Anne (Mrs. Bill) Grant, Jeanne Shaw, Paul Govreau and wife Dawn all of St. Louis, Jim Govreau of Cape Girardeau, Joe Govreau and wife Joey of Farmington, Mary (Mrs. Wilson) Reed of Bonne Terre, and Patti Abernathy of Desloge; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosemary Griffard of St. Louis and Pat (Mrs. Jim) Creglow of Nebraska.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Mark S. Ebert and Father Jim French officiating. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Park Hills. Memorials can be made to Mary Anne Grant Memorial Fund at Nerinx Hall or Immaculate Conception Church / St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.
