Everett Young

           Everett Young, 90, of Park Hills, passed away June 26, 2017 at Country Meadows in Park Hills. He was born July 17, 1926, in Iron County, to the late Miles Richard and Rebecca Alice (Matkin) Young. Everett accepted Christ as a young man and was of the Baptist faith. He was a WWII Army veteran. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mabel Louise (Crump) Young; son, Steve Young; grandson, Kevin Young; and twelve siblings. 

            Everett is survived by two daughters, Dianne (John) Holifield and Judy (David) Edgar; three grandchildren, Chris (Melissa) Young, Caitlin (Spencer) Sullivan, Chelsea Edgar and fiancé Jordan Harbin; one great-grandson, Jackson Young. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bruce Torrence and Rev. Steve Thomas will be officiating. Interment will follow at Big River Cemetery in Irondale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children 4400 Clayton Ave, St Louis, MO 63131.
