Evelyn Irene Boyer

Evelyn "Bee' Boyer, 86, of Farmington, passed away March 9, 2015 at Parkland Health Center, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 18, 1928 in Madison, IN, to the late John Miller and Evelyn Marie (Jenkins) Roberts. She was a member of the United Memorial Methodist Church in Farmington, and the Tic Tac Shopping Group. Evelyn and her late husband, Bert R. Boyer, owned and operated the Bert L. Boyer Funeral Home in Leadwood for over 30 years, until they retired in 1993. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert R. Boyer; and parents, John Miller and Evelyn Marie Roberts. Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Bendi (Mrs. Bob) Powell of Bonne Terre, Patti Cates (Bill Martin) of Bonne Terre, Lori (Mrs. Larry) Merrill; five grandchildren, Anne Powell and husband Dr. James Bollinger, Sarah (Mrs. Justin) Swarer, Lindsey (Mrs. Luke) Stigers, Dustin Merrill (Dana Manar), and Dr. Megan Cates; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Bollinger, Reese and Eli Swarer, and Lincoln Stigers; two siblings, William W. Roberts and wife Mary, and Norma (Mrs. Jerry) Whitehurst, both of Farmington. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
