Ethel Brown, 91, of Desloge passed away September 4, 2016 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center. She was born January 8, 1925 to the late Cleveland and Daisy (Richey) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Brown; siblings, Carl Smith, James Smith, Juanita Charboneau, Mildred Cape, and Earl Smith.
Ethel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Desloge.
She is survived by her son, Edwin Carl (Janet) Brown; daughter, Judith (Gary) Cook; grandchildren, David (Jaime) Brown, Paul Brown; great-grandchildren, Chelsi, Alexandra, Collin, Gabe, Miranda, Davin, and Aden Brown; sister, Arletta Vanderpool; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 7, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral will be 10 am Thursday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Bradford Laubinger officiating. Interment at St. Francois Memorial Park.
