Mr. Emmett Hampton Wampler passed away late Wednesday morning, July 1, 2015, at his Farmington residence at the age of 90 years and 25 days. Emmett was born June 6, 1925, in Flat River & was the son of Otto Wampler & Polly 'Hampton' Wampler. Also preceding-in-death were: 8 brothers & sisters - Rollan, Nolan, Alvah, Jacob, Jessie, Mabrey, Elenora & Arville.
Emmett served as a USMC Corporal in World War II. He was a longtime, faithful member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington & a member of United Methodist Men. He was a member of St. Francois AF/AM Lodge #234, of Libertyville; the Farmington Independent Odd Fellows Lodge; American Legion Post #416 of Farmington. Emmett retired as a Mine Safety Technician from St. Joe Lead Company.
Survivors Include: his wife, Anna Mae 'Denman' Wampler, of Farmington. 2 daughters - Pamela (& Colonel Tom) Hulsey, of The Villages, FL; & Candace Jeffers, of North Richland Hills, TX. A chosen daughter, Rhonda Brooks, of Raleigh, NC. a son-in-law, Lonnie Jeffers, of Morris, IL. 1 sister, Juanita Hoffman, of St. Charles, MO; 7 grandchildren: Melissa Hampton & James Zitrick; Stephen (& Elizabeth) Hampton; Brady (& Rebeccah) Hulsey; Mary Jayne (& Benjamin) Wilson; Andrea (& Josh) Roberts; Aaron (& Kathryn) Grieshaber, and Alecia (& Mitch) McCoy. Also, 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-grandchild; numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation Thursday, 5-8 p.m. Libertyville Masonic Lodge services will be held @ 6:00 p.m. in the chapel.
Visitation resumes Friday, 6:30 - 8:30 a.m.
Funeral : Friday, 10:00 a.m., July 3, 2015
at : Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Hall officiating.

for: Burial with full Military Honors
