Eleanor Faye Rawson

Eleanor Faye (Porter) Rawson, 74, after sudden illness, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2014. She was born January 20, 1940 in Bonne Terre. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edgar "Ted" Porter and Sylvia "Ilene" (Sikes) Porter; two husbands, Homer "Leroy" Mund and Homer Dell Rawson, Sr.; one sister, Carolyn Porter. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She never met a stranger and has taken many into her home throughout the years. Her kind heart never let any person or any animal go hungry. She loved to cook and be outside taking care of her flowers, and if she had to be inside, she would be listening to the Gaithers. Eleanor NEVER forgot a birthday or an anniversary, and she made sure to send a card and make a phone call to make sure you would feel special. She made sure every grave had a flower, sometimes making a special trip back when she saw one without - even if she didn't know them, her heart couldn't bear for anyone to feel forgotten. Most of all she loved her family. She attended Sonrise Baptist Church. Eleanor is survived by six daughters, Angie (Ron) McConnell, Norma (Raymond) Patt, Diane (Randy) Politte, Donna (Mark) Clifford, Jeannie (Rodney) Smith, Jan (Carl) Sparkman; five sons, Mike Mund, Greg Mund, Dell Rawson, Marty (Sue) Rawson, Bryan (Andria) Rawson; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Paul Pope officiating assisted by Rev. Randy Murphy. Interment will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery.
