Edyth M. Hutchings

Edyth Mae Hutchings, 91 of Bonne Terre passed away October 31, 2014 at Country Meadows Nursing Facility. She was born January 26, 1923 in Cadet, MO. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church of Mineral Point where she served as Church Pianist and Sunday School Secretary for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie C. and Josephine (Smith) Edgar; husband, William Sylvan Hutchings; three sisters, Agnes Wigger, Dorothy Merseal McKay, Alberta Moebes; five brothers, Kenneth, Tyrus, Morris, Frank and LeRoy Edgar. Edyth is survived by two children, Phyllis (Mrs. Wayne) Cross of Park Hills and Ray Hutchings and wife Donna of Park Hills; seven grandchildren, Rochelle Boyle, Lance (Melissa) Cross, Jenna (Chad) Long, Casey (Melisa) Hutchings, Jamie Cate, Jackie Helm, Dustin (April) Helm; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Tuschhoff of Jackson; sister in law, Ruth Edgar of Bonne Terre; special friend, Tillie Cross. Several nieces, nephews and other family also survive. Visitation will be Monday, November 3, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Guy Conway officiating. Interment will follow at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
