Edna Sitton

Edna Sitton, 92, of Leadwood passed away November 19, 2016 at Country Meadows Nursing Home.  She was born February 2, 1924 in Wortham to the late Howard and Laura (Means) Jarvis.  Preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Ruth Compton and four brothers, Eugene, Charles, Ralph, and Manuel Jarvis.

Edna was a member of the Leadwood First Church of God.  She was one of the first LPN classes to graduate from MAC, she worked as an LPN at Bonne Terre Hospital for several years and later at Washington Co Hospital.  She loved flowers, birds, quilting and embroidering. 

Edna is survived by daughter, Kathy (Jeffery) McComber; two sons,  Ken (Mary) Sitton, Jack (Christi) Sitton; grandchildren, Bruce Compton, Shannon (Gena) Sitton, Adam Sitton, Kelly (Jeff) Harmon, Andrea (Tim) Wilder, Jacob Sitton, Ethan (fiancé Anna) Sitton, Heather (Adam) Walter; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 12:30 pm until the funeral service time at 2 pm at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.  Rev. Kendall Hughes will officiate the service and interment will follow at Big River Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Leadwood First Church of God.
