Edgar Jones, 81, of Desloge, passed away September 15, 2015 at Community Manor in Farmington, surrounded by his family. He was born August 31, 1934, in Elvins, to the late Raymond and Pearl (White) Jones. Edgar was a member of Esther United Methodist Church and a past Kiwanis member. He was also the former owner and operator of Jones Phillips 66 Station. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond "Bud" Jones; and one sister, Norma Jean Smith. Edgar is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Moore) Jones; four daughters, Patti Sue (Mrs. Wayne) Worley, Vicki Lynn (Mrs. Rick) Keller, Cathi Ann (Mrs. Scott) AuBuchon, Lisa Kae (Mrs. Donnie) Hale; six grandchildren, Michael (Bekah) Keller, Kori Keller and fiancé Jonathan Murphy, Ryan (Brooke) AuBuchon, Brandon Hale, Tanner AuBuchon, and Kaelee Hale; very near future great-grandson, Jase Murphy; three sisters, Betty Hulsey, Helen Price, and Margaret Wells; many nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, September 18, 2015, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paula Eschenbrenner officiating and Dennis Conway will be assisting.
