Ed Harrington

Edward "Ed" Lynn Harrington, 62, of Bismarck, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 25, 1962, in Bonne Terre, to Dwight and Carolyn (Lynn) Harrington. 

 Ed was of Methodist faith and a member of Mineral Area Elks Lodge # 2583 in Desloge. He worked at his family’s business for over 30 years Lead Belt Pump Supply. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed working at his farm, going to the Casino’s, and above all, spending time with his family that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother and loving wife, Beth (Cassidy) Harrington. 

Ed is survived by children, LeeAnn Fisher (fiancée, Michael Simon), Chad Grounds and wife Tara; father, Dwight Harrington and wife June; grandchildren, Jacob Fisher and wife Jessey, Karlee Fisher, Gage Grounds and Jaxson Grounds; one brother, Byron Harrington and wife Jennifer; nieces, Whitney Harrington and Jamie Portell and husband Adam and their boys; sisters-in-law, Julie Hulsey and husband Randy, Kathy Jones and husband Larry; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his cousin, Matt Treaster. 

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Friday, December 6, 2024, at 9:00 AM until the time of service of 1:00 PM. with Rev. Mike Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Pendleton Cemetery in Doe Run. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
