Earl Ray Prather - Earl Prather age 86 of Bonne Terre, Missouri, formerly of Collinsville, IL. passed away December 8, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. Earl was born August 9, 1926 in Energy, IL. Earl is preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Emma Prather; grandmother, Lucy Ward; brother, Jesse Prather; and grandson, Brian E. Prather. Earl retired from CE Refineries in St. Louis as a mold maker. He was member of the Fairview Heights Masonic Lodge #504, 32nd Degree Consistory, Ainad Shrine, Sword of Bunker Hill and Rob Morris #98 OES of IL. His hobbies were going to auctions and yard sales. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Tena Prather; one son, Earl E. and wife Marjorie Prather of Bonne Terre; brothers in law, Raymond and Robert Branson of Afton, MO, auction buddy and nephew Joe and wife Arlene Hosna of Dupo, IL, also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday December 11, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Homein Desloge. Funeral will be 11 am Wednesday December 12, 2012 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Ron Poole officiating. Interment will be private at a later date at Bonne Terre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Crown Hospice Cape Girardeau or MO Veterans Home of Cape Girardeau.
