Mr. Earl Floyd Wigger passed away late Thursday night, January 3, 2013, at Parkland Health Center, Farmington, at the age of 83 years, 7 months & 6 days. Earl was born May 29, 1929, in Farmington, and was the son of Howard Wigger and Katie 'Wiles' Wigger. Also preceding-in-death was a brother, in-infancy, Harold.
Earl graduated in 1947 from Farmington High School and enlisted in the US ARMY. He served in Japan from 1947-49, and was re-called to duty, serving in The Korean War from 1950-1951. Earl worked at Farmington State Hospital and retired from Farmington Post Service in 1992. He was a member of Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896, Farmington, and the Ste. Genevieve American Legion Post. Earl enjoyed fishing; camping and going to his farm to cut wood.
Survivors Include : his wife of 60 years, Peggy 'McCoy' Wigger, of Farmington. 1 daughter, Cynthia (& Frank) Reichert, of Arcadia; 1 son, Scott (& Laurie) Wigger, of Farmington. 2 brothers: Eugene (& Lorraine) Wigger, of Bismarck; Chess (& Faye) Wigger, of Bakersfield, California. Also, 4 grandchildren: Megan & Madison Reichert; Caden Wigger & Logan Willmore.
Visitation : Sunday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes: Monday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Monday, 10:00 a.m., January 7, 2013
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Don McGuire officiating.
Interment with Military Honors follows at : Doe Run Memorial Cemetery - Doe Run, MO.
