Dorris Crites, 88, of Farmington, formerly of Park Hills passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Community Manor. She was born Sunday, December 2, 1928 in St. Louis to the late Clay Reed Sr. and Violet (O’Guin) Johnson. Dorris was a member of Lively Stone Tabernacle and her world revolved around her children.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her adoptive mother, Alma Noltensmeyer; husband, James D. Crites; and sons, Gerald Sutton, Michael Sutton, and Gregory Sutton; brothers, Clay Reed, Jr. and Andy Reed; twin sister, Delores Barnett.
Dorris is survived by her children, Vicki (John) Beckman, Gilbert (Kim) Sutton Jr., Gary (Tammy) Sutton, Charles (Nancy) Sutton, and John (Louann) Sutton; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde (Pat) Reed; sisters, Hope (Jay) Yurchick and Betty (Bob) Keeley; daughter-in-law, Claudia Sutton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills. Funeral Service will be Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Larry Sprouse officiating at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Caldwell Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. Memorial can be directed to Lively Stone Tabernacle.
