Dorothy Dygert, 89, of St. Louis, formerly of Park Hills, passed away July 9, 2015, at Delmar Gardens in Chesterfield. She was born Sunday, May 2, 1926 in Flat River, Missouri. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Park Hills. Dorothy was an avid golfer who belonged to St. Francois Country Club and Whitmoor Country Club in St. Louis. She also enjoyed Scrabble and participated in Scrabble Tournaments across the country. Dorothy also loved travel and made many domestic and international trips. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence Albert and Elsie Jane (Rawson) Murray; her first husband Melvin Earl Wamble and late husband Al Dygert; daughter Kimberly Ann Altland; grandson Craig Combs; brothers Virgil Murray, Lawrence Murray, and Donald Murray; brother in law Bill Sloan. Dorothy is survived by daughters Connie Sue (Ken) Hahn of O'Fallon and Dee (John) Courtois of St. Louis; Son Michael E. (Nancy)Wamble of Kirkwood; son in law Tom Atland; Sister Lee Galvan Sloan of Desloge; Sister-in-laws Arlene Murray of Desloge, Roberta Murray, and Marion Murray. Dorothy has 12 grandchildren; Cary Combs, Kendra Fritz, Christopher Courtois, Alicia Borawski, Alexandria Haloftis, Adrienne Courtois, Jonathan Courtois, Rebecca Wamble, Elizabeth Wamble, Katherine Wamble, Zachary Altland, Jacob Altland. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren; Karly, Landon, Tyler, Lucas, Nolan, Rose, and Carter. Services will be private on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the St. Francois Co. Relay for Life.
